Areas We Serve
Zurita and Associates provides bilingual (Spanish/English) teletherapy to individuals and couples throughout New Mexico. Because sessions are conducted entirely through secure telehealth, location is never a barrier to getting support—whether you’re in a major city or a smaller community without many local mental health providers nearby.
Albuquerque
As New Mexico’s largest city, Albuquerque has more mental health providers than most of the state, but demand often outpaces availability—especially for bilingual therapists or those with specialized experience in ADHD, anger management, or LGBTQ+-affirming care. We provide Albuquerque residents with flexible, telehealth-based therapy that fits around work schedules and daily life, without the drive across town or long waitlists common at many local practices.
Santa Fe
Santa Fe residents looking for culturally informed therapy—particularly bilingual care rooted in an understanding of New Mexico’s Hispanic and Native communities—often find limited local options. Teletherapy makes it possible to work with a therapist who genuinely understands that context, without being limited to whoever has availability nearby.
Las Cruces
As the hub of southern New Mexico, Las Cruces has a strong bilingual community, and access to Spanish-language therapy that reflects that population is still limited. We offer Las Cruces clients the same quality of bilingual, culturally informed care available in larger metro areas, delivered directly through telehealth.
Rio Rancho
Rio Rancho’s rapid growth has outpaced local mental health resources in many cases, leaving residents commuting into Albuquerque for care or facing long waitlists. Teletherapy removes that commute entirely, offering Rio Rancho clients direct access to therapy from home.
Northern New Mexico: Taos, Española, Los Alamos, Las Vegas
Northern New Mexico’s communities are spread across a wide, often rural area, where specialized mental health care—particularly for ADHD, couples counseling, or LGBTQ+-affirming therapy—can mean a significant drive to the nearest provider. Clients in Taos, Española, Los Alamos, and Las Vegas can access the same experienced, bilingual care through telehealth that would otherwise require traveling to Santa Fe or Albuquerque.
Eastern New Mexico: Clovis, Portales, Roswell, Artesia, Lovington, Hobbs
Eastern New Mexico communities are often the furthest from concentrated mental health resources in the state. Residents of Clovis, Portales, Roswell, Artesia, Lovington, and Hobbs frequently have very few local options for therapy, and even fewer for bilingual or specialized care. Teletherapy closes that gap directly, bringing the same level of care available in Albuquerque or Santa Fe to eastern New Mexico without the multi-hour drive.
Southern New Mexico: Alamogordo, Carlsbad, Deming, Truth or Consequences, Sunland Park
Southern New Mexico spans a large, sparsely populated area where mental health providers are often concentrated only in Las Cruces. Clients in Alamogordo, Carlsbad, Deming, Truth or Consequences, and Sunland Park can access consistent, ongoing therapy through telehealth without needing to travel to the nearest larger city.
Western New Mexico: Gallup, Grants, Silver City
Western New Mexico, including Gallup, Grants, and Silver City, has historically had some of the most limited access to mental health specialists in the state, particularly for bilingual and culturally responsive care. Teletherapy makes it possible for residents of this region to work with an experienced therapist without the barrier of distance.
Statewide Access, One Consistent Standard of Care
No matter which part of New Mexico you call home, Zurita and Associates offers the same experienced, culturally informed care—led by Ruben Zurita, with over 30 years of experience in anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger management, and couples counseling, along with LGBTQ+-affirming and non-monogamy-informed therapy. We accept a range of insurance plans (Aetna, BlueCross/BlueShield, Carelon, and Cigna) as well as private-pay options.
If you’re not sure where to start, a free 15-minute consultation is a low-pressure way to ask questions and see if we’re a good fit, no matter where in New Mexico you’re located.
